For me, only Maine crabmeat will do, so when I’m in my island kitchen every summer, it’s a crab fest. Crab rolls, crab quiche, crab cakes, crab dip, crab fritters and yes, even crab mac and cheese!

If I remember correctly, crab up there might be Johan or Peekytoe? Do you get both? FYI, I updated the poll to add another option for others such as those..... Thanks for mentioning it. I'm all about a good crab fest!!

I’ll have to check on this, I’ve just always bought direct from my crab connection straight off his boat and called it Leroy’s crab lol

Ooops, don't mind my spelling....that was meant to be Jonah crab! If only we all had a Leroy in our life! Nothing better than fresh-off-the-boat crab.

What about stone crab claws? They are popular down in Florida but have been making their way north — we catch loads of them in pots hung off our dock in North Carolina.

And I recently updated the poll to add an option to include Stone and a few others.

Yes, I almost added another category for that poll to include other options such as stone or king crab. I'll get more into other crab another time. I've had great experiences with both of them as well. Interesting to hear stone crab are getting that far north lately.
